When it comes to photographing kids all rules go out the window! in other words, there are no rules! for me, it's all about having fun and capturing your little one in their natural state. I don't like forcing any stiff poses or fake smiles...I like to bring out the true personality of each individual child. Making sure your child feels comfortable is the most important thing to capturing good pictures, so I like to include his/her favorite activities and toys into our photo session.
What to wear: plain white clothes are best, but any solid colors will work (cotton dresses, white t-shirts) and jeans with bare feet work best. For girls, little hats and flowers on their hair look adorable. Remember, we want to focus on your child and busy clothes can be distracting. Avoid logos or busy prints.
Photo sessions for kids are also recommended after their nap...they usually wake up energetic and ready to have fun!
Wear comfortable clothes in solid colors (no logos). I recommend you wear an outfit that you have already wore and felt very pretty in! If you're a guy, a nice pair of comfortable jeans and shirt (long sleeve or T-shirt) are always great.
The best time to photograph is early morning (9-10:30 am) or late afternoon (2-5pm)
